Re: main sail head
Our "square" sails are very performing. Every sindicate has different one, it depends on the sails maker. By the way they works using carbon battens flexible and strong. Of course it is not easy to make a efficent square head mainsail and it is not easy to adjust.

Re: New IACC120 project: Mascalzone Latino ITA-99 by R.Chiesa
Wellcome on board Jose, the projects are complitely free! ;) You can use alloy tube 12mm diameter for the mainmast, or 10mm diameter carbon tube, or a airfoil mainmast that you can buy form TDmodel here in Italy by mail package. TDmodel sells also all big/little components to make the boats. This is...

Re: Anybody out there!
Nice Idea. Probably in perfect wind condition and stationary water, the hull could decrease its wet surfice, but it depends on boat weight, and speed; as told by Alan a IACC120 is much more heavy respect a hydrofoil boat and the foil surface is small, so I don't know how much the decreasing of wet s...

Re: Anybody out there!
ah, yes, this shape is very dangerous, you have to use a 3° of angle to avoid this problem. But you risk to increase a lot the resistence. I never tested this kind of shape so mine are only ideas. For sure the bulb center mass could be lower may be also 10mm, that is a lot but we have to check if th...

Re: Anybody out there!
Hi Alan, this is a hard question. Sailing upwind, It depends on wind intensity. If hard, it is sufficent to push to the LWL max boat speed at the same, also if the boat is more heavy and it moves a major water quantity. On the same time the major bulb weight allows a better performance so at the end...

Re: Anybody out there!
The 40mm flexion may be due to the 3200g bulb weight, out of class rules?
